Fogged Windows or Foggy Windows Glass replaced
Fogged Windows or Foggy Windows occur if the window glass is old or has been compromised in some way. This is usually due to leaks in the sealed edges of the window glass.
Unfortunately this is very common, and the only way to fix this issue is to have the glass replaced.
A fogged insulated glass window is made up of two panes with a spacer in between the glass that usually has some type of desiccant or moisture absorbing material in between the panes (which is why you can’t clean in between them, or just replace one side of the glass). When we order new glass to fix this issue, the glass unit is referred to as an “IG” which stands for Insulated Glass Unit. Each IG comes with two panes of brand new glass, including a new spacer all sealed together to provide a brand new look for your windows.
